Nestled within the Devonshire Quarter business, cultural and sporting complex is the Winter Garden. Dating back to 1875 this semi glasshouse building has been the venue for exotic trees and plants, a roller skating rink, and a dance hall floor.
Live Music too has a history at Winter Garden.
Since the construction of its South Pavilion, with glazed outer shell panelling, in the 1960s, the Winter Garden was closed for another refurbishment and restoration work in 2017.
2021 sees the reopening following extensive work, in particular, the re-use of existing material and restoration of heritage features.
The Winter Garden Eastbourne is now well placed to join other recognised South Coast venues.
